Sea trials and SUP Clean Up

Saturday Will and I fired up the new boards on their first  off shore distance trial. I paddled to the east , with favorable winds and a tiny swell that was a bit on the beam. The Bark 17 didn’t disappoint! Although the swell was at a different angle than the wind, the board was amazing. Will went to the west up wind later in the day and also said the board handled great. Thanks Joe Bark.

On arrival at Gooseberry Island I was greeted by the Osprey Sea Kayak crew. All ready on the job cleaning the shore and ocean. We gathered several bags of trash, old lobster pots, and a huge piece of wire. The sky’s were sunny and temps were a balmy 45 degrees. It was very satisfying to re-trace what we had cleaned and see no trash! On a side note. A nice family of 5 taking their holiday card pictures were very grateful of our efforts. It felt good to hear them thank us.

It’s a windy stormy day here in Little Compton RI,  so SUPTC are taking a day off from the Sea.
